How many years did the Green Elephant car run? I feel like I've seen this car many times

Jim and Betty Green ran the flopper throughout the 1970s here in the Northwest. The late Frank Hall won the 1973 NHRA funny car world championship in the car. Rich Rodgers got runner-up at the 1977 U.S. Nats driving the Elephant. Other drivers I can think of Rob Bruins (future NHRA Top Fuel World Champ) and Cle Elum, WA Mike Miller drove too

AA/FD Going through some boxes the other day and found this. Looks like I cut this picture out of a magazine, when I did,
I have know idea? the magazine? But for sure the year is 1976 and Shirley doing a fire burnout. I don't remember her
doing to many fire burnouts.

I bet you cut that pic out of a magazine because it's cool. I used to do that and hang them on my bedroom walls.

You bet I did. Back in the early 1970s I would take my lawn mowing money and go to the food store or drug store and buy
2 issues of the latest Drag Racing Pictorial or other drag rags, keep one and take pictures out of the other one and hang
on the bedroom walls.

street in downtown Los Angeles

I know an old school drag racer who may or may not have done something similar in downtown Seattle loading after the Autorama at the King Dome.
