Not arguing Jim, but there is a lot of land in the MG parcel that is not part of the drag strip property. It's kind of like Topeka, the racetrack only occupies a fraction of the property.

I may not have written that clearly. There is a lot of land around Maple Grove that could be used for housing or industrial development. All the land is relatively inexpensive for the region. That means an owner of the dragstrip can get more for the dragstrip as a business than they could get by selling to a developer. In other areas, a track owner could get a lot more by selling to developers than by selling to someone who wanted to run it as a track.

My money would be warehouses on the north side of I70, housing on the south side, and then around Newark. I wonder if that proposed "Far East" project that ODOT has will go as far as the Rt. 37 exit?
