So whatever happened with the "new" Compulink lights?

It's been nearly a year since we heard about the new Compulink lights and still haven't seen or heard a thing. Something was mentioned again at the beginning of this year... and then nothing. What's going on?

Significant progress has been made, but I must confess to some frustration that more hasn't been accomplished. That's really about all I can say.

After reading this article it reminded me that we were supposed to have new lights by now.

I share your frustration. Work is proceeding, but not quickly enough.

Interestingly, the rebound in the economy is largely to blame -- so many tracks that let things go fallow for the last several years popped up and needed updates/upgrades/tuning essentially immediately, that there has been little time left over for the new development work. That has changed in the last several weeks, but this summer has been largely a blur for the Compulink folks.
