Perhaps if NHRA paid each TF and FC qualifier $20,000 you would see full fields again.

But there is that math thing.... $20,000 x 16 = $320,000 23 races $7,360,000 Both TF and FC $14,720,000.
OUCH! Hard to have anything left for bonuses.

I think the only way you will ever see full fields again is if it is profitable for a little team to make 2 runs and wind up in the black. The model works for match racing, it could work for the "big(kinda) show." Hopefully, the new NHRA development folks can shake the corporate tree enough to make entering their races, at the very least, a break even proposition.

I think 10k first round money, 50k to win, in the fuel classes. Don't remember the round money. Indy might be 100k to win.

10K to qualify, 3k if you don't but are 17-18th, pretty sure it's still $2500 per round win and 50k to win and 25k to lose. So basically if you lose first round you get 10k. If you win you get $2500 extra to go to the next round.
