I'm putting the odds between slim and none. Del gets paid to have other guys race his cars. He has 3 FCs and all the support equipment to go with them. Also, his dad isn't doing so well either. That's got to be weighing on his mine too.

I completely agree with you that it is unlikely Del. I just found it funny that somebody would think that anybody would pass up a ride with JFR because of IHRA.

oh, i think the procks moving, along with related anticipated news, the re-organizing of jfr, maddie starting TF, rwr hopefully making some noise
with 2 cars for a full season, plus i have a feeling we aren't done with shuffling of teams and/or personal. it seems at least 50/50 there might
be a possibility of elite running a 2nd TF car in '26? ....... actually one of the things i'm waiting for is an announcement of a potential pre-gainesville test,
and where that might be.

I completely agree with you that it is unlikely Del. I just found it funny that somebody would think that anybody would pass up a ride with JFR because of IHRA.

You might be surprised, Del talked about the stress of NHRA and a full tour compared to how stress free IHRA is and how much fun he is having. He really has nothing else to accomplish in NHRA, sure driving for Force would be awesome, but you get to a point in life where fun and chill is just way more appealing. Not saying it won’t happen, just stating that it may not be as funny as you think

Money? The fact that he's won one FC championship in 8 years? I don't know maybe it's him, Kalitta has certainly given him all the tools? Although Shawn has only won one too.

How about Tasca to JFR? Here’s how I see it going down.
Tasca leases his entire funny car operation to the Prock family for 2026 only. One year.
The Prock’s run the business for a year using existing Tasca sponsors and whoever else they can attract.
BT3 goes to JFR for 2026 only and tries to get a championship title for himself and John.
The way the rumors are flying about an experienced driver, who has had long connections with JFR fits.
After 2026 ,BT3 takes back control of his team and stops driving or the Prock’s buy the operation and hire BT3 to drive a second car.

Remember that Del has been doing FC since he was a teenager, I can understand why he may enjoy the less CHAOTIC world in IHRA.

Do we need a new Forum here on Nitromater for IHRA topics? I see there isn't one yet. A lot of people here seem bullish on the IHRA all of a sudden, where I don't have anywhere near that confidence of them staying around for long. But I would like to read people's comments about that series.

That might be the craziest thing I have ever read. Bob team is his passion product. He can run so much of it out of Rhode Island why fly to Indy when he has a booming business empire in the northeast, and let's be real the dealerships keep the race team running

Maybe because he's tired of finishing 6 - 8 in points since winning the championship in 2018.
