Thank god that no singing, bad hair wearin', annoying young man is outta there!!! I was going to have to severly hurt myself if he made it through another round!

Looks like all that work Howard Stern and the votefortheworst.com crowd did went to waste. Too bad some good singers got kicked off by fraudulent voting.

Yeah, it is a real shame that they lost some talented people and a little pecker-head got through round after round. I had to leave the room every time he sang.

i'm also disappointed how america kept him in, but will be equally
disappointed if melinda doolittle does not win.
i think she's the best talent this show has discovered to date.
they mite as well play for 2nd place this year.
(i did like the spanish ballad sanjaya did a couple of weeks ago)

Sanjaya made me sound good(LOL) I move people when I sing, they run as far away as they can(LOL):) ;) :D

Sanjaya was ruining the show for me, I'm glad he's off.

He (or his fans) was the one that robbed Gina (my favorite) from getting a higher spot.

I haven't watched one episode this year, if he was SOO bad why did he make it that far in the first place?

Im not a big idol fan, but to me the only "successful" people to come from that show are Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood...then theres Josh Gracin who is pretty big in the country scene and Chris Daughtery (sp?) who were not winners but still got big. To me they are the only 4 i ever hear on the radio.

Can't forget Clay "I'm not Gay" Aiken!

It has nothing to do with funny cars or politics, so I can say I've never watched an entire episode. Maybe a minute or two here or there trying to figure out what she gets out of it!

Am I the only one who's so disconnected from stuff like the Aiken thing that I hear bits and pieces of it a week later and have to piece it together just to figure out what the heck they're talking about?

I'm a loyal watcher and follower of the show. I got hooked when I caught the show accidentally while I was working in Dallas during the first season. I had picked up dinner and returned to the hotel at which I was staying. I flipped on the the TV and happened across the show when there were 12 contestants. Kelly Clarkson was about the 4th or 5th performer and after listening to one verse and one chorus of her performance I thought to myself "This has got to be he winner, this girl REALLY has it!" Turned out I was right so now I make my top 3 predictions each year at the round of 12. I've got some friends on another board that've made a contest out of it. I've got a pretty stellar record so far as I have yet to miss on hitting a winner out of my 3.

This year has been pretty bizarre with the whole Shamalama phenomenon but there is one performer that is clearly the most talented vocalist. Melinda is the only one that truly has a complete command of her instrument, that girl is an AWESOME singer! Whether she wins or not is pretty irrelevant at this point in relation to her career, there'll be producers and agents lined up for blocks to enlist her vocal talents the moment her Idol contract is up.

Just wanted to bump this thread by saying a couple of things...

Melinda is fantastic but I don't think she's marketable enough to sell tons of CDs. She's a top vote getter and I wouldn't mind if she won but I'll wait and see how her record sales would pan out. Look at Taylor Hicks. People think I'm "Taylor Bashing" when I say that people only voted for him because they were amused by seeing a goofy guy dance like a spaz onstage, yet how many people who voted for him actually bought his CD?

Now that my 2 favorites (Gina and Chris S.) are knocked off I am voting for Jordin, for only 17 she is freakin' amazing. She is also one of the more marketable ones in the group.

Votefortheworst.com is now telling people to vote for Phil Stacy. Why? If they were really going to tell people to "vote for the worst" then it should be Chris Richardson. Oh wait I forgot, the "CAKE" fans would probably get together and launch a denial of service attack if they did that!
