Someone please enlighten me. How did Tony Stewart win the Rookie of the year over Richard Gadson when Stewart was in two final rounds and Gadson was in three; Stewart was in 4 semi final rounds when Gadson was in four as well; Steward finished 9th and Gadson finished 3rd; and Gadson won a 2Fast 2Tasty challenge race and Stewart won none. Am I missing something other than pure politics??

It's not a mathematical equation of on track stats like the tuner of the year deal is, even though it should be. They factor in other things like promotions and media and sponsors...(I.E politics)

I don’t understand either.
I think Richard Gadson should have won based on his on track performances.
I think it was a political decision. 👎

Let's see..... Tony drives a Top Fuel car, is a very famous racer and brought tens of thousands of fans into the sport to watch and meet him. Gadson rides a motorcycle.which 95% of the fans have minimal interest in watching and had a great season. We all know how this works. Ok, I'm done.

I guess tony brings the fans, like the four wide.I don't mind the four wide, but not a fan of tony stewart.
