Hagan Named AMS Rookie Of The Year

CHRISTIASNBURG, VIRGINIA--Matt Hagan hasn't slept a wink since being named Rookie Of The Year for NHRA's AMS Pro Modified division, but that's only because his son Colby was born just a few hours before he learned the news.

"It's a great honor, and I'm really proud of what we've done this year," said Hagan. "We had our peaks and valleys like everyone else, but overall I couldn't be happier with our season."

Matt didn't make the trip to Las Vegas for the final Pro Modified race of the season, but still finished in the top 10 in points. "I hate I had to miss the race, but family comes first," said Hagan. "It's been a whirlwind of a weekend for me, I'm not sure I've had time to process it all."

Matt plans to spend some time at home with his wife Rachel and their newborn son Colby during the offseason while his crew begins research and development on Matt's new 1968 Camaro, which he'll be breaking in next season at national events.
