I was impressed with the way Rob handled some of the help in the video,
Like SMACKING the throttle and not knowing how to set the static opening.
I would've been killing by that time. Lol

I'll bet Tony was chatting with Rob by Sun evening about the job.

I always thought it was a weird situation with Tony going with basically a Kallita spinoff group. THE RUN, had left a scar with the O boys that I would say will never heal.

I'm still not impressed with some of the
Lower/Middle level RWR crew.

That’s a team I could get behind, Clay and Reed. I’m just not the biggest Tony Schumacher fan, just seems arrogant almost likes he’s better than everyone else. Shawn and Clay are two of the best dudes in nitro racing

I have no problem with Jim-O going back to Clay’s car or Rob moving in. Nothing against Jon-O (as he is a very good tuner); but I think instead of both O brothers along with Nicky all being around each other for so long. They need someone (like Rob or someone else) to think outside of the box/challenge and maybe not possibly 3 heads agreeing all the time. Just my $.02.

IMO rwr gave the oberhofer brothers and nicky an opportunity to work together and tune a 2-car TF team.
it didn't work out. best wishes to everyone. i am happy that rick ware apparently still wants to be
part of the nhra as a team owner, and i hope the ACC company that is on tony's TF'r will continue with the nhra as well,
wherever all the moving parts end up.

Tony is one of the most down to earth folks in the pits year in and year out look at him with kids mans awesome

I can't see Rick Ware letting the long term ACC sponsorship or Tony go, or Clay for that matter. My prediction: Rob Wendland replaces Jon O and tunes Tony, Jim O back to Clay and don't know about Nicky, strikes me as not really caring either way. I'm contradicting my post on the other thread but this my prediction after reading Comp Plus.

For me, I just hope everyone has a job, everyone stays in the sport, and we continue to get to see, smell, hear, and experience nitro with some insanely talented and brave humans behind the wheel.

I hate to see Reed slow down. He seems like such a down-to-earth dude, and I really hope he gets some love and support to stay out there. Tony and Clay are both great, and they’re great for the sport as well.

At the end of the day, I just want everyone to be able to earn a living doing what they love. It would truly suck to see any of these guys or teams go away.

We need as many nitro teams out there as possible. More cars, more competition, more opportunities, and more nitro. That’s good for everybody, and good for the sport.

about 15 years ago I attended a race and stood at the fence of their pit sight and listened to Tony give his talk to the guest there that day. I then understood why the Army stuck with him all those years. He's the real deal
