From my long experience, most drivers in NJ drive like they are missing both hands

There is no middle in four, so he lacks the necessary equipment...but no worries, I'm starting a Go Fund Me so he can get a prosthetic fingy
Now don't get me started on NY drivers.....they camp out in the fast lane.... that's when you need the salute

Interesting suggestions for replacement drivers. When you look at who has been suggested, I think only one was in their 20s, a couple in their 30s and a majority that are, or are close to being able to, collect Social Security.
Seems that not only is the audience for our sport mostly crypt-keepers (myself included), but most of the drivers are as well. Then I look at NASCAR, F1 and IndyCar and I wonder if some of those kids have graduated from high school yet...
New blood, and lots of it, or this may not bode well in less than 10 years.

There is a huge difference between the organizations. In NHRA the owner is usually the driver. Not too many young racers with the funds to race professionally. In the other series’ the old guys are the owners and they hire the young guns to drive for them. Many drivers have proved they can race and win in their 60’s and 70’s which is very uncommon elsewhere.

Well people that have been around the sport for a long time always seem to suggest retired stars that they would love to see come back. Those are suggestions. While drag racing is unique in that racers can remain competitive for a long time, we really do have a lot of young talent coming into the sport, in addition to racers who "are close to being able to collect social security".
