Pro Stock Rumor

I heard from reliable source it was suppose to be a 60 hit and it must have felt good and ran it out w/no seat belts. I know if race cars move seat belts should be latched.
Would have been hard to have witnessed that

Jesse, That brings back a lot of memories of injuries / fatalities that happened due to lax safety precautions due to.
(Hey we're only testing). and this happened in every type of Motorsports

When even a funny car from back in the day looks more like a street car than today's "Pro Stock" there is a problem!

After you mentioned it I remember hearing the same story.

I've heard that more than once, including from someone intimately involved with that car. I can't verify it as fact, obviously, but i believe it to be true. Not that my opinion matters!

As long as we're talking favorite Pro Stocks from back in the day, here's mine. Of course, I owned a '83 Hurst Olds at the time so WJ had to be my faviorite.

One of my all time favorites!!! :)

back when anyone of us could buy one and run it. we could relate to what the pros were doing.

I'd never seen a Chevette P/S. Must have been a handful. Pinto P/S were cool to me, cuz my first new car was a 1971 Pinto.
