Yes, that was one hell of a TF Final. Those Kalitta cars are really running consistently great. It looks like they will be hard to beat this year..0002-seconds. Wow. Love this sport. Congrats to D1 track Budds Creek MIR. Great debut event - welcome back to the Budds Creek/Epping tandem!
Good for you! We don’t need that sh*t again. One thing fox keeps saying is indy car is the fastest racing on earth, its not. I emailed indy car and corrected them LOL
Incredible event and final round drama was terrific.Yeah Can't believe the numbers both Kallita cars were running in Rd 3 and 4
Darn near identical.
Out for at least 3 months; multiple digestive issues. Gallbladder, inflamed pancreas, 2 hernias.I know Matt Smith was out with gallstones, but is he OK? I saw him walking around the track…hope so. Anyway Matt, welcome back to the track, good health and Godspeed.
Mikeagree with others, that was a really good race. the thing that strikes me as odd or different, is the end of the track
is right where the main road to facility is. you could be cruising by on the 2 lane highway, not realizing that two cars
are barreling down the track at over 300mph right at you. not that it's not safe, it's just unique.
Englishtown was like that. That's why the shutdown area was short. Extending the shutdown area would have meant putting it on Pension Road. The shutdown area at Maple Grove actually crosses a town road when the fuel cars are running. They have gates that they lower to block the road. It's always weird when you are driving on that road and look to the side to see the drag strip.agree with others, that was a really good race. the thing that strikes me as odd or different, is the end of the track

Indeed. By Sunday teams began to figure it out, adjust accordingly and it turned out to be a great race. Gotta love the 1-inch MOV in Top Fuel, Beckman's 3.92 in the heat, Prock finally breaking through and great performances from the NA folks. The short 300’ foot concrete pad and the lack of track data throws a curve at even the great crew chiefs.
Once Greg makes it to the final round he gets up on the wheel pretty good. Not surprised at all. Felt good for him too; Maryland is where he won his first PS race which was right after 9/11.I was very impressed with the MIR folks running the race. Workers were all very friendly and helpful, especially the guy responsible for our section on the pit side! No issues getting in and out of the track. Great racing and story lines all day. Greg must have put some kind of curse on Dallas' car as he is now 10-1 in finals vs Dallas which is crazy considering how good Dallas is.
and national trail too. i agree, how odd to look to side and you're looking up the entire drag strip ..... i thought the g. anderson storyEnglishtown was like that.
