I know Matt Smith was out with gallstones, but is he OK? I saw him walking around the track…hope so. Anyway Matt, welcome back to the track, good health and Godspeed.

Out for at least 3 months; multiple digestive issues. Gallbladder, inflamed pancreas, 2 hernias.

Didn't one of the Latino's get dinged for taking off a seat belt too soon a few races ago? Can't imagine popping out of the rood hatch while the car is still moving is a good move. We don't need another one of these https://video.search.yahoo.com/sear...l=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQnKZGHMQCk

I get the excitement and it looks cool for TV buuuuut, can't hit one driver for a safety violation and ignore someone hanging out of the car

agree with others, that was a really good race. the thing that strikes me as odd or different, is the end of the track
is right where the main road to facility is. you could be cruising by on the 2 lane highway, not realizing that two cars
are barreling down the track at over 300mph right at you. not that it's not safe, it's just unique.

That track has one of the longest if not the longest NHRA shut down length. they were saying it was almost a 1 half mile, plus what appeared to be a SAND pit not the damn pebbles that most track's use, plus the net. Bottom line I was impressed with the track. I am sure they will change the turn out that had trouble with 300in. long dragsters.

Great day of eliminations yesterday, it's always fun exploring a new (to us) venue.
Great to see MSR do so well, Angie recovering from the devastating loss last week with low ET and best RT, Jianna crushing it in first round with top speed, Chip filling in well.
Nice to see the arguably the greatest in PS add to his legacy with another very strong car.
Kind of poetic to see Austin's first win come against JFR, we all wanted to see Jordan and Austin in the final but just missed it.
Team Kalitta looks pretty unstoppable. AJ is in the discussion for best crew chief ever and it looks like Husen learned well because they were so evenly matched.
Lots of great close races, easiest we've ever cruised into a parking lot before a race (arrived at 8:30 anticipating potential backups at a first time race).

I was very impressed with the MIR folks running the race. Workers were all very friendly and helpful, especially the guy responsible for our section on the pit side! No issues getting in and out of the track. Great racing and story lines all day. Greg must have put some kind of curse on Dallas' car as he is now 10-1 in finals vs Dallas which is crazy considering how good Dallas is.
