At the one Bandimere event that ran factory stock, the fans stayed in the stands and they put on a great show. Of course the fans there stay in their seats for most classes. It was either the heat or the stairs that kept them in their seat.
The biggest issue with factory stock is the 7.50 chassis certification. At any point a single car runs in the 7.40’s, the cars aren’t certified and essentially done with. I do not know if there is a 1/8 mile time but that really limits the technology improvements over time.
