Over 30,000 at CHRR?

Kevin, thanks very much!

Hey, thanks for all the support that you give the sport!

Oh, your t- shirts aren't to bad either:eek:

Mark B; Réunion (French: La Réunion) is a French island with a population of 837,868 inhabitants (as of Jan. 2012) located in the Indian Ocean, east of Madagascar, about 200 kilometres (120 mi) southwest of Mauritius, the nearest island.

From the Miriam-Webster dictionary:

re·union
noun \(ˌ)rē-ˈyün-yən\

: an act of getting people together again after they have been apart : an act of reuniting

: an organized gathering of people who have not been together for a long time

Seems to me the CHRR fits the bill!

:)

You are forgetting the great prime rib buffet at the doubletree, then the cackel.

I work on Saturday, then go late to the track, see a round of funnycar and stay for the cacklefest. I have zero interest in newstalgia top fuelers.

Kevin,

I am not going to argue with you, especially on a chat board. However, your estimation of the Double Tree attendance is considerably light. More to the tune of 2,000 to 3,000.

Geno, I would suggest that there is absolutely NO WAY the Doubletree could accommodate 2,000 to 3,000 people, there would have been Kern County Sheriff copters overhead. This is the first year I have not gone there and nobody is suggesting that event should be curtailed, only that there needs to be another nitro qualifier for the racers who have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars chasing and performing and supporting the Heritage Series all year.

Go have your Doubletree cluster, nitro racers need an additional qualifier!

Darr: Since you and I both know who runs the show, why not complain to him? You have his email address and phone number.

Glad to see at least one person in this thread can have some fun:D

Mike, When you get Donnie rollin' you two are priceless.

Darr is right, nobody is running the Heritage Series. Unless thing shave changed over the last few months.

If you are refering to Steve Gibbs, no he is not invovled with the Heritage Series. Only the reunions.

Ok, I may be mistaken here, but the way I understand it, the reunion is just as it says, A REUNION and is all about the people.

So if Hook doesn't run the racing part of this, who does?

NOBODY RUNS THE HERITAGE SERIES...

The same people who rent the track and schedule the events.

Those who run the reunion. The only thing the the reunion has to do with the Heritage Series is the points program for the nitro cars.

Rumor is that the Heritage Series may go away either this year or next. The same rumor that has been going around for the last 3 years. Personally, I don't care one way or another.

For us sportsman racers why have a rulebook if your not going to enforce it? It has been scene that as time goes on, less and less sportsman racers are showing up because there is no direction. These events just happen.

Regardless, there will still be a March Meet and a Runion.

Then why should people complain on a Reunion thread if the Reunion people aren't running the show?

In my opinion it's so unfair for the poor racers they should just stay home next year and leave the reunions to the geezers.:confused::)
