for many years the rumors were that all the tracks in California were going to reopen. when you see the first race back in Colorado I will be starting the racing in the big track up there in the sky. I think someone should purchase land in Death valley build a drag strip and in a few years you will have a new town there and people will be complaining about the noise and the track will close because the pink spotted lizard has loss of hearing from the racing and the track will be deemed to be a environmental hazard. now AHRA hired the best then no it won't work. the first race is. no let's cancel that. You say you want to build a drag strip, I have a bridge you maybe interested in.
I know I shouldn't think the sky is falling. but I have seen it before.

I live 25 miles from the site. Admittedly, I’ve been fairly critical and pessimistic about the proposal from day one. Do I love drag racing? You’re _*******_ right I do! Do I want it to come back to this market? Yes I do! I am just heartbroken because there is such a strong, tight, formidable motorsports-loving community here that is really struggling to continue to celebrate and engage in the sport we all love. We got nothing.

Fact is, Denver is not a Motorsports town. It is a football town. You can’t put a square puzzle piece into a round one. The public majority here does not want a race track. They want a new, covered NFL stadium. They want their NFL team to win the next Super Bowl. They want their city to host an NFL Super Bowl someday. And outside of football season…. They want to begrudgingly go camping; or hiking; or drive up to the ski slopes and fight each other on the interstate traffic. Some even want a new soccer stadium. They don’t want car racing though.
ChampCar Denver Grand Prix - gone. Pikes Peak NASCAR (Busch) event - gone. NHRA Mile High Nationals - gone.
If you’re in Denver and you want motorsports…. Monster Jam and Supercross is what you do every winter inside Ball Arena.
Otherwise enjoy that National Western Stock Show and your Broncos football and your CU Buffs.
That’s where we’re at. I hate it …. Yet I respect it and I acknowledge it. Can’t fight city hall.
Let me say this last thing though ….. I truly believe that the Bandimere family is the only entity in the world who can make this happen.

Nobody else can rebuild this dream ….. nobody else out there could ever continue this great legacy…. other than the Bandimere organization and family themselves. DID I JUST HEAR THUNDER??????

Thank you for you optimism. I just got back yesterday form my second hospital stay in two months to retime my heart. hoping it works this time. I had a doctor try to kill me in 2017 and I got repaired then. so add 8 more years from the first repair I will be 90 and that is a lot of time for more stories.

I bellieve I have said this here before but I think National Trail is in the cross hairs here. A couple of new developments starting up a couple of proposed developments in the works. me there is an event and before anyone says it, my house was here before the track was.................and there are a lot of houses between me and the track

Larry, sounds like you may have the Ford Cammer timing chain stretch problem. May I suggest a Gear drive setup. LOL
