Since I'm trudging along two months into my 68th year I expect by 82 I will have seen a lot more before! Larry don't ever estimate how long you will live, you might be surprised!for many years the rumors were that all the tracks in California were going to reopen. when you see the first race back in Colorado I will be starting the racing in the big track up there in the sky. I think someone should purchase land in Death valley build a drag strip and in a few years you will have a new town there and people will be complaining about the noise and the track will close because the pink spotted lizard has loss of hearing from the racing and the track will be deemed to be a environmental hazard. now AHRA hired the best then no it won't work. the first race is. no let's cancel that. You say you want to build a drag strip, I have a bridge you maybe interested in.
I know I shouldn't think the sky is falling. but I have seen it before.

Larry, sounds like you may have the Ford Cammer timing chain stretch problem. May I suggest a Gear drive setup. LOLBrian
Thank you for you optimism. I just got back yesterday form my second hospital stay in two months to retime my heart.hoping it works this time. I had a doctor try to kill me in 2017 and I got repaired then. so add 8 more years from the first repair I will be 90 and that is a lot of time for more stories.

I had read about some commercial/warehouse developments possibly at the Rt 158 and 310 exits west of the track. If so, and they are of a commercial/industrial nature, shouldn't be impacted too much by the dragstrip.I bellieve I have said this here before but I think National Trail is in the cross hairs here. A couple of new developments starting up a couple of proposed developments in the works. me there is an event and before anyone says it, my house was here before the track was.................and there are a lot of houses between me and the track
i have no clue but the person buying some long time tracks then letting go a person that knows drag racing from z stock to top fuel i hope its not to sell to a developer down the roadI bellieve I have said this here before but I think National Trail is in the cross hairs here. I’m not sure you’re right on this, let’s stop blaming the left. Bandimere has been at high attendance, even as recently as their last year. Even after the political shift. Correlation does not equal causation.Talk of Denver being a football town has truth to it but the biggest problem as I see it is the monumental shift in Denver's political winds over the past couple of decades. I used to live in the Denver-Boulder area and Boulder in particular was a bit crazy then. Both those towns are unrecognizable today, politically speaking. A woke, climate-change, sanctuary city mecca, Denver's leaders would rather ingest cyanide than to think there's a nasty-ass polluting drag strip nearby even if it is in Weld county.
Chris I think he maybe looking at the challenges of overall support for a new trackI’m not sure you’re right on this, let’s stop blaming the left. Bandimere has been at high attendance, even as recently as their last year. Even after the political shift. Correlation does not equal causation.
He could be right. I don’t wanna turn this into a flaming contest on politics. But I would imagine the support for a new track in the Denver area would be rather high, considering how much support Bandimere got right up to their closing. That’s all. Especially a nicer track with better amenities.Chris I think he maybe looking at the challenges of overall support for a new track
You're right. Let's hope that Newark welcomes them with open arms to draw residential development away.Yes west is almost all commercial, south is pretty open still. North is the snooty Granville, Dennison University neighborhoods. Then about a mile east is where the new developments are planned which are between me and the track. Also remember JEGS is no longer at NT so we shall have to wait and see how it plays out.
I don’t think this is specifically a question for me, but I would refer to the other members who are in the area, and just add my two cents worth and say “I at least hope for some of the above”.do you think indy car would be interested in running an annual race there?
do you think nascar could possibly figure into their equation too?
fairly certain they would pull an annual div. 5 regional/divisional, more than likely a double?
and other non-motorsports events for the metro area?
lots of planning. lots of infrastructure.
