Nitromethane (1 Viewer)

We just have a fan at the front of the car, and you know sometimes it does more harm than good.......

A bit like the two fans in this video, which don't look like they'd have the capacity to dissipate a strong fart, let alone the exhaust from Ron Capps' car.

He's handed a mask at the beginning of the video; apparently he's the only wimp (or the only one with any sense) in the whole bunch. No one else appears to be affected at all.

thanks for article ed.
basically article stating nitromethane (with it's oxygen properties),
will produce approx. 2.5x the energy of other hydrocarbon fuels, such
as gasoline, the volume of oxygen/air being constant.........or in other
words, as the article states nitro's stoichiometric air/fuel ratio of 1.67:1,
you can stuff about 9x nitro into each cylinder as you can gasoline.

F1 are the sexiest, technological cars on the planet, but it is truly amazing
to try to analyze what is being done with 500c.i., single cam, push-rod V8
engines burning nitromethane

Is Nitro considered a Hydrocarbon Fuel?? I thought only Petroleum based Fuels had Hydrocarbons???
