Night qualifying...Why? (1 Viewer)

Anyone who spent weekends at OCIR or Irwindale knows why. It's just plain bitchin to watch.

I was from Cailf and that's where I spent my time racing. OCIR ran races into the early morning hours before there was civilization in the vicinity. But all of my time at national events were at Pomona in Feb and Nov. The cooler weather and the nearby homes prevents night racing.

That's true about possibly not making the show if you don't make a good run during the night session (Pro Stock).

Lot of good input...thanks. I knew I could count on you guys.

Certainly more so in Pro Stock.

In the nitro classes, if your that 17-20 position guy that didn't make a stout run on Friday night and it's going to be hot on Saturday, then your in for a tough day, but it's usually still possible...unlike Pro Stock.
