That's an interesting thought.
Given the closeness and consistency, don't you think the DRIVER is more of a key factor in Pro Stock than in the fuel classes? I do.

jim- if you look at the stats for the force car from last yr. it looks like the driver lost more rnds than the crew chief. if brittany was better on the lights they would have [ probably] won races. Antron was very good on the lights. it made a difference. so, theoretically erica could excel in top fuel
That's cool, Steve! Glad you caught that or I would have missed it. NHRA should be all over that....choosing one of our champions as a bona fide Superhero! Seems that would be a really neat way to promote the upcoming season and possibly appeal to a new group of viewers...
Just for the record, Alan, I wasn't bashing NHRA for not covering it. I was suggesting that it was the kind of thing that could (should) be expanded upon for some really good press possibilities and appeal to a potentially new audience. I DID read the website, and was writing this as an intended corollary to that article, not a bash on it. But I AM glad to hear that you still love us!

I think it's a combination, having said that if you can't qualify in the Top 3-4 every race, safe to say your not going to win many races! Can't rely on Holeshots every race to win a championship
