NHRA Tech says to DSR Top Fuelers "Take It Off"!

Just wondering and trying to keep score, is anybody taking Graham Lights and NHRA's side to this? It does look like a couple are but most are not. There are about 280 posts and over 20,000 looks. Anybody keeping score?

Rick

As I said before the "timing was terrible". The only way to make it worse would have been to do it during eliminations...BUT if you believe either party has disclosed all the facts and been completly accurate and forthcoming then I would think your a bit naive.

Mr. Schumacher with a very thought provoking interview on WFO
covering the shroud topic and others..... thank you Don & Joe.
if you haven't listened, please do so.

next up - NHRA.... waiting.

Somewhere buried in there, I kinda take NHRA's side. But I don't think anyone supports totally due to the timing of the request to take it off.

I have the privilege of knowing Don, and I see firsthand how much he cares about this teams. He gives them everything they need to win, and to be the best. He plays by the rules, won’t give team orders, and fills his organization with the best staff he can find. When he sets out to do something he does it with the best of intentions. Don is first a sound business professional, and he will do what is best for DSR and his marketing relationships. You will NOT find a smarter man, period, and I bet whatever he decides to do, if anything, will be based on what is best for DSR and his teams.

I feel for Don, and I wish him luck!

Justin

Justin, I appreciate your reporting something quite factual and believeable. I too think Don has always been in favor of doing GOOD for the sport and he is walking, talking proof of this. His stance on Team orders being bad for the sport is obvious as his team members always race heads up. How else can you explain that his flagship team, the ARMY Top Fuel team has been to how many Finals this year and not won? And most of those losses have been to other DSR team cars. It is hard to fathom the ARMY car going through a whole season without winning a single race. It just shows how much knowledge is shared between the teams and it has made ALL of his teams stronger, yet completely competetive with each other. Go DSR !! Show NHRA and all the whining teams that their ploy isn't going to work.

Just my .02c and I believe Justin Grant more than most of the speculators.

I also feel the timing of this was completely wrong! And if NHRA really made this decision due to a Liability issue as someone previously suggested, then they should state that. We all know insurance companies wield lots of power, so tell us the truth, not BS.

O.K. lets see, one for NHRA (a little iffy) and about one hundred against, at least. Am I close? Wait I think Graham Light voted for NHRA, a definite yes, so that's two.

Since when has a vote mattered over in Glendora, Rick?

The only ballots I ever see are the polls on the webpage...
