How many cars in the Mod Eliminator division were ar an average national race back in the day? How many would typically come to Indy?

My neighbor's career in Modified Production ended at Indy....blew their motor and Doug Nash 5 speed in one launch
It was a 1967 Nova and the loudest car I had ever heard when I was the little kid next door....

From what I remember, if you were a somebody in MP you went to Indy.
