No my app works just fine without WiFi. I am using a Motorola cliq

Eric, yes it does work on the Tour (thats the phone I have). $4.99 download charge. Reviews suck on it....2 out of 5 stars. I have yet to pay for an app on any phone I`ve ever had and I`m probably not going to start with this one.
