New Snake Rumor (1 Viewer)

I passed the Vonage world HQ the other night. It's all lit up in Orange. And it's a telecom company. They get my vote as the new sponser.

After the airline flunked, I don't think they have enough $$ left for Snake's personal jet fuel

Gotta go with the Vonage concept... Their van has Cragar S/S wheels. Snake had Cragar S/S's on his yellow flopper... Seems like a match to me! :p

Vonage was my first choice, but I did'nt realize how big they are... I should have included their name in my first post... Are we warm???;) ;) MEL?:D

Very well COULD be VONAGE...Here's why...

As a professional sports marketing agent, specifically motorsports, I had the opportunity to do a deal with ADT Security for Tony Stewart when he did "Double Duty" with the Coca Cola 600 and the Indy 500...ADT was an associate sponsor for him...Here is the connection...VONAGE used to have a Chief Marketing Officer named Dean Harris who NEVER saw the value of motorsports...That being said, he never got the value of just about anything, hence the fact that he was "relieved of his duties" at Vonage and from what I am told, is still "beating pavement" a year later..

Now, Mike Snyder is the new CEO at VONAGE...He is the one that I did the deal with when he was the CEO at ADT...connection...? I saw him at the Indy 500 this year...remember, Vonage was on Michael Andretti's car....Mike Snyder LOVES racing, and recognizes how valuable it is to branding Vonage, as well...He is also smart enough to realize that you don't have to spend $18,000,000 per year in NASCAR to get the knock-out punch, either.....so, MY guess is VONAGE all the way!!!

More On Hooters...

You should also all know something about Hooters...The casino that is in Las Vegas is NOT owned by Hooters...It is owned by one of their Franchisees...FYI...Hooters is pretty focused on their Pro Cup Series, and probably will not do much else right now, although, I have some really terrific ideas for them...They are great people....I did a TV deal with them for VH1 Classic a few years ago...

Interesting. Well, whatever the case I think they had a GREAT idea in buying the San Remo and putting forth the Hooters brand in the one town where it absolutely should be. I haven't actually visited it yet but unless management is a set of boneheads it ought to be wildly successful. Thanks for sharing some insight on the matter and welcome to the Mater!

I guess everyone is aware of the fact Cingular is allowed to stay in NASCAR Nextel Cup because they are grandfathered in. To stay, so long as Nextel/Sprint is the title sponsor, they must stay with the same team on the same car. Should they leave, they cannot comeback until Nextel/Sprint is gone. Same with Alltel. Be nice for both to try other waters, hey.

come to think of it isnt orange a color for cingular?

Cingular just bought out AT+T wireless, and AT+T was the deal that was in play last year ... could some of those old AT+T souls put the deal back in play with their new Cingular employers?

Vonage is hemorraging cash ... their stock price is in the toilet and the President/CEO is on his way out the door ... I cannot see them ponying up the cash to fund a fuel car.

Wonder why? Vonage wants $25 a month and others like Skype charge $15 per year. Many others are free with a very low charge by the minute.
