Cliff, thanks for sharing. Spent much time at E-Town seeing these cars. My dad used to work with Bob Lani of the Swenson & Lani Funny Car. They used to test in an industrial park not far from my house. Great times!

Thanks for posting! You brought back lots of wonderful memories.
That was an awesome time period that will NEVER be repeated. I'm so fortunate to have grown up in SoCal during that time and experienced the wonders of Pomona, OCIR, Lions, Irwindale, and the other legendary drag racing facilities back then.

Things change. What used to be San Fernando Drag Strip has been a swap meet for 50 years. argh
