New Dodge Charger FC

The best thing is: They race on a drag strip, with safety equipment. None of this street outlaws B.S.
Thanks Pappy Zappy...

Yes they were lookin to show how quick the new one is compaired to the old hemi. Compairing ET's were the best way, not just showing the new
one pull away from the old.

I don't believe those "street race" tv shows. It's all hollywood

Ok, I must be honest. I like to study things that appeal to me. AND maybe I did a little fishin' on this thread. Anyone notice where the side scallop meets the "c" pillar/quater panel/ rear wheelwell/ spill plate? Definitely exagerated. Could it be wind tunnel developed? Maybe some multi-team owner just might sprinkle a little stardust on this subject...

so another car with WWII fighter plane name :) (Mustang, Thunderbolt, Lightning [Aira]Cobra and now Hellcat)

Thanks for posting the Charger H/C link. Say gang what is the cu.in. of the hellcat engine??
I'm old school, I don't get liters. o_O:confused:

Now for the tuff question.....any price info on these sweeet things??

6.2 Liters is right at 374 c.I., cost on it starts right at $62,000, which is a bargain for that kind of performance with a full factory warrantee.

I rented a Charger for our trip to Indy last year, and fell in love with it. Comfortable, good handling, and with the V6 (Which had plenty of power, by the way.) got really decent mileage. If I get in the market for another car,I'm taking a VERY serious look at these.

I too, rented the 4dr charger on vaca several years ago, and was amazed at the rear seat leg and head room.
To have that room, in a fully warrenteed, daily driver, Super Sleeper, would be great.

Not sure has they drop the HP 200 for the valet parking kid.....but he can still have fun at 500hp. Lol

I've never gotten too upset about modern funny car bodies, but I've never understood the "bubble" cockpit. If there is such an insistence on having the dumptruck spoiler on the back, I think they could get a more authentic looking roof line if they tried to incorporate the rear window/C-post area into the spoiler. It wouldn't be the answer to everyone's aesthetic prayers, but it would go a long way in helping restore the image of the stock automobile. I honestly don't think that NHRA has the balls to tell the teams or manufacturers that they are making a spec change to the bodies, even if they did it with a few years notice.
