She did alright. Some timing and pacing would come with more time in the booth. She is a bit cut and dry though. Would rather have her back in the car.
Make it the Dave and Mike show next year in the booth
I like her but shes so dry in the way she speeks think they could of picked a better person male/female too stand in. thank god for the MUTE button! Hurry back Mike God Bless with your familey issues!
As one who has announced both Drag racing and Circletrack, it's a LOT harder than it looks! For a first timer she did pretty good, you can tell she finally started to relax the last hour from the first two!
from some of the background comments I picked up during the ESPN3 broadcast I think a producer or someone was asking her to make some of those obvious comments...maybe trying to help?
so maybe that means someone is feeding PP those inane stuff he says too?

Unless it's a "pedal fest" or a "hole shot" PP doesn't know what to say. I know his credentials are impressive, but I don't think he's ever been a good fit for drag racing.
IMO PP carried the show quite nicely sunday - melanie was valiant in her
effort. i would have thought reiff, gerrould, bloom or alan would have been
asked to announce with paul page.
I'd like to see Mel give it another go-after a week of coaching. I remember Dunn wasn't that great when he started either.
I thought Dixon was great out of the box-he could do it easy.
