What is the current situation surrounding national record procedures ? I believe no points are awarded ? Are there any rewards for setting one ? Is there a backup run required ?

I'm assuming these are the current records :

It seems to me that back in the day setting a national record was a big deal but not any more.

They did away with backup runs and rewards many years ago. It’s all just bragging rights now.

Huh, they have the date wrong for Shawn Langdon in Martin Mi, should be 8-31-26.

It was always cool to check national records in ND.

Agreed! My dad set the A/A record way back in 1970, and it was a huge deal. Why aren't they in ND any longer, and are they listed anywhere?

Nunzio, I remember that was a big deal in ND and drag news
