I have heard that their is a treatment/cure developed in the UK and awaiting FDA approval here in the US for Tinnitus and is expected to be available in 5 years. It is a gel that takes the place of hair follicles on the eardrum lost due to damage.

Kind of keeping an eye (and ear) out for this product. There is hope my friend.

Having suffered hearing loss from campaigning a fuel car, hunting, target shooting and almost anything else that could and did destroy my hearing while being a (stupid) tough guy and not wearing ear protection I can tell you that hearing aids may help slightly but are no solution. They are like a small bandaid on a major wound.

I protect my ears, mostly by wearing hearing protection at concerts and the races. I'm talking about the gradual hearing loss that runs in my family. I would like to be able to hear the TV without blasting those around me, lol
