Got 2010 issue #1 and while i was hoping that the media would be over the Force-Hood moniker, they are not....i suppose this means we will hear Paul Page see how many times he can squeeze Force-Hood into a comment. We apparently will be spared the "i am woman, hear me roar" two last names with Angie,as we were with Angelle,Shirley,Melanie,Shelley, etc.

I think that is her choice and not the media.

I also read that there is a new cat in the Force Hood house. I am sure this will be the headline on the first ESPN show. :D

It's not a moniker... It's her name.

When I was about 12 my ma said she didn't want me hangin around with "those hoods". I wonder if they were from that same family? Now, if she were still here, she'd say, "It's too cold out, don't go out without your 'hoodie'!"

I'm still listening ma!

only mid january and the force haters are winning already. but i bet if tony $humacher was all over the cover id be alright huh  like he doesnt get air time at all bwahhhhh!! he gets more than ashley .

Considering what Tony has done on the track the past couple of years, he deserves everything he gets!

Considering how many years more experience he has than her, I would hope so. Give her time, she'll earn her airtime. In many cases she already has. BTW, she can't help that she was born into celebrity status in this world of NHRA. Please, like if anyone on here had the chance that she's been given you wouldn't take COMPLETE advantage. Yah RIGHT.

Will anyone be surprised when the printed version of National Dragster becomes a monthly publication instead of weekly?

I just got mine today, I wish they would go back to the old newspaper version of the 70's with the black and white photo's, and big classified section. The current issue does however have a cool full page shot of Snake at Indy in the Wynn's Winder FED with the chutes out giving the V for victory/peace sign located on page 56.

;):)

Why all the National Dragster haters? I guess I look at things different. I know it doesn't have the importance as it once did when it was the only way to get race results, but i still think it's enjoyable to read. Print media is a tough business to be in these days, and I think the people at ND, like Phil Burgess, have worked hard to adapt and keep ND fresh. If you subscribe, I think it works out to less than 1.50 per issue, to me that's cheap to get a weekly drag racing fix mixed in with the all the bills in the mailbox. Don't mean to sound like I work for them, cuz I don't, but I think we need to support what's left of print media in our sport, like ND, Drag Racer mag, Hot Rod, etc., and the subscriptions for all of them work out to peanuts.

I agree with Alan & Nunzio. National Dragster may not be the sole source of information it once was, but when considered in the aggregate along with all the other media sources (Internet, ESPN, etc.) it's every bit as informative and enjoyable today as it was years ago.

As we have all seen in the past few years, nothing remains the same as it was years ago... especially when "monetization" is the watchword. I hope you are all correct.
