A couple of more fronts bringing rain towards Ennis !
Plus more about Friday......OH JOY !
It's already wet down there.........:(

Wouldn't be the first time I spent the weekend trying not to get my little Yota stuck in that parking lot! ;)

Some folks around here got as much as 10-12 inches of rain last week, and like John mentioned, there is a front coming through tonight. Today was the first time I heard mention of rain during the race (Thursday and Friday - as of today they are saying the weekend will be nice). If I hear one more person say "but we need the rain" I may scream!

Anyone remember the year we parked all of the sportsman in the Walmart parking lot?

Was that the same weekend that the sportsman teams ran on Monday instead? We were parked in a campground, by a lake. I don't know if that lake was there before or it was a new addition brought by the rain.

Ya'll don't need the rain over there, we need it on this side of the state... Send it back, please.

I believe the "big flood" was in 1998. Joe Amato won Top Fuel in Memphis and invited us to the race in Dallas. We left Memphis totally clueless about the Dallas weather. When we got there, they had the transporter parked and the dragster unloaded in the truck parking area of a Waffle House restaurant. The Amato hospitality motorcoach was parked 10 miles away at an industrial park with about 30 other rigs.

Kinda wierd watching a Top Fuel engine teardown sitting on the truck of a car in the middle of a parking lot.

BIG THUNDER STORM AND ABOUT 50 MPH WINDS GOING THRU ENNIS NOW......
GEESH.....I MAY STAY HOME THIS WEEKEND......
A bad week all together....stood in line Saturday morning to get tickets for AC/DC...when the Box Office opened we were informed the concert was postponed.........shucks !!:(

I honestly don't remember what year it was, but we did run the sportsmen on Monday. As far as the rain, I would gladly give it to south/central Texas! My only point was everyone around DFW thinking it's a good thing!

I was there! It was very weird because my dad had driven up early anyway and then we were going to meet him but we wound up leaving Sunday to go. Just one of those "This isn't right" scenarios.

I'm thinkin 2004, at first I thought '03???

It only looks worrisome for tomorrow anyway, the rest of the weekend doesn't look that bad...at this point.

I like this forecast....this will be the one I believe in! :)
