More Street Outlaws Insanity

And let's be honest, who wants a John Force autograph that DOESN'T have one by now?? ...jus sayin
(disclaimer: have met Force, Farm truck, and AZN, don't have autographs from any of them)
I'm guessing all of the fans that i see standing in the very, very long lines holding his merchandise at the meet and greets.:) When he use to have the car show here in SoCal i would see fans standing in line for 3 hours just to get an autograph.

Never saw a street car like this. First pass in his Pro Mod Firebird against the curbs and that body is history. It's obvious these guys are making big money off Street Outlaws.

I'm probably all wrong, but... when I think back on the season, I can recall plenty of really good interviews from some real interesting racers that show their emotions. Sure, there's still plenty of sponsor plugs and "my guys are the best in the sport" and so forth, but we have some real interesting racers out there. And some are better in front of the mike than others. But overall, there's a great mix of personalities out there. Maybe people would like it better if NHRA drivers start saying "I'm gonna drag his ass" or dropping F-bombs constantly, even with racer's kids around, or coming up with endless excuses for losing... Again, I watch the show, because I'm a junkie who loves wild cars. But I'm not watching and making comparisons to NHRA or any sanctioned racing. SO is in essence a weekly soap opera with a racing theme, instead of selling million dollar homes, surviving in the wild, or WWE wrestling.

Never been myself, but I can image there are some friendly wagering going on within the crowd.

A single race can go for 50 Stacks. (grand) or more. gotta use the correct lingo here. That is for the motorcycle guys. I would guess the car guys are on the same leval.

I think most races are for about 5 stacks. A just for fun race is usually $500.

If street racers are found guilty of street racing, is part of punishment crushing there car, i know at one time that was being done in CA.

Have many of my fellow 'Maters watched the new Street Outlaws: NOLA show yet? I saw about half of the first episode, and made a point to watch the whole show last night.

The cars are fast, but the personalities and drama are even more contrived than the 405 show. Add in that most of these guys can't make a full 1/8 mile lap without breaking something or wrecking their cars. Last night they totaled 3 pretty nice race cars, and just about every other car either couldn't hook up, or broke on the pass.

Just not my idea of drag racing entertainment, but to each his own.

It's pretty bad, even if you try to watch it with the TV on mute. It's getting bashed pretty good on other forums.
