Melanie Troxel's New Ride?

Great news if it's true!

Didn’t Melanie race a Top Fuel dragster sponsored by In-n-Out a few years back?

I don't remember it being a top fuel car..... but she DID drive a In-N-Out Burger Top Alcohol dragster once upon a time.

Hmmm.... In hopes of Melanie getting a deal from In-N-Out, I'm going to brave the rain and get a double-double, animal fries and a chocolate shake from them. Yummmm.... Hope it happens.

I remember she had a Full ride lined up till their CEO died a few years back! Glad they are getting back into Drag racing!

It was a Top Fuel car, but just for a short time. I think I remember that the gentleman who was at the head of the company passed away just after they debuted the TF car. He was a big-time gearhead, whoever took over after him was not.

Melanie Troxel earned two national event wins and two runner-ups racing the In-N-Out Burger Federal Mogul Top Alcohol Dragster.

She also set a new track E.T. record with NO burnout in that car.

I forget the year, and I forget the event, but I remember her driving around the water box and then setting a new track ET record for a Top Alcohol Dragster.

She ran a-fuel with in-n-out also.

The D&M top fuel car never ran with in-n-out logos, just the red and white paint job. The main guy died before the season started, and that was it. I think that TF car ended up being an A-Fuel car for Ashley Force.

Oddly enough, awhile back I saw Oswalds last In-N-Out Avenger complete as it last ran for sale. In-N-Out paint and everything.

Great news! Any time I Hear that Melanie is getting back into a nitro ride is awesome. I'm a big fan of TJ/Melanie. I hope the "Limited Schedule" escalates into full time at some point;)

Yes, I believe you are correct about it being an A-Fuel car. I guess when I mentioned she drove an In-n-Out Top Alcohol car I was referring to the "Top Alcohol" category in general, and not specifically which combination she ran.

Did she run both A-Fuel and Blown alcohol with In-N-Out?

does this mean they will start serving In-n-Out at the track cuz that would make me very happy

I was working on an A-Fuel team in the late nineties and she was running alcohol and stepped up to A-Fuel. I have seen her laying under the car at 1:00 am working on it with the rest of her crew. She is not afraid to get her hands dirty and work.

All the best to Melanie.

I don't remember all the names but there was some buzz in the business press (after the Grand Dame died) that neither the founder husband nor wife had ever wanted to expand In-N-Out beyond the western part of the country.

Mere speculation (connect the dots?):

Perhaps, current management would like to create some buzz for expansion (with an IPO?) or a fat sale of the company to an organization that could take 'em national. NHRA ain't NASCAR but Melanie gets press wherever she goes.
