The answer to your question Joe is no. They do not offer tours of the course. The only way you can get onto the course is one of 2 ways:
Know someone who is a member and be a invited guest
or
Shell out $3k or more to buy tickets to the Masters.
Its not like other tourneys where you can just show up and purchase tickets. They only allow a certain amount of people in. I love golf, I used to play alot more until I found out I could make good money playing poker so I kinda quit the golf deal. But my wife and I were talking yesterday and we have decided that we are going to go one year. I cant wait, its the most beautiful golf course I've ever seen and I havent even set foot on the course yet. The tradition of that place is just unbelievable. I could walk it for days and never complain.
By the way, Congrats to Zach Johnson. I enjoyed watching him win a tourney 2 years ago. He seems like a nice average guy who hasnt let success get to him. Tiger just didnt put anything together this weekend. IF he did, it would have been over. And like he said, if he wouldnt have finished bogey-bogey on Fri and Sat he would have won the tourney.
When I lived in SoCal we used to get tickets every February to the Nissan L.A. Open at Riviera, and that is a beautiful course. I can only imagine what Augusta is like! Congrats to Zach, I thought for sure Tiger was going to win it, but it was nice to actually see him not win it! Pretty dubious distinction for Johnson in that his winning score tied for the highest winning total in Masters history.
I'd hardly classify the win as anything dubious, Chris..it's the hardest that course has played in 50 yrs. Between temp, wind, no rain and changes to the course..it's never been more difficult.
I will gloat a little and say in my fantasy golf game, I did have Zach as one of my players. He's always been a slow starter for the season but at hte Masters I like takiing guys whoare level headed and dont get all wound up when a bogey happens and personally I thought his game was a decent fit for Augusta. Now I didnt think he would win it, but I thought he could atleast get a top 25 being his best finish in a major was 17th and he had missed the last 3 cuts at majors he attempted to play but anyways. I am happy for him. Atleast VJ didnt win.

old thread here, but why start another with same name.
what another great tournament. whether you like rory or not, it is undeniable his
achievement of the grand slam. crazy to think he and tiger are the only ones to have accomplished it
since jack back in 1966; and it took 11 excruciating years
One of the better Masters Sundays I can remember, maybe only second to Tiger in 2019 in my lifetime. Even my gf who isn't 100% on which side of the club to use to hit the ball was pretty glued to it.
