Does anybody know why they made Friday's second pro session an afternoon session? I thought the suits wanted to bring excitement to the fans, IMO a pro session at night is much more exciting than the countdown to mediocrity.

this time of year there will be a lot of dew coming in after sundown, not to mention how cold it can get.

Bruce is right.. I remember a few years ago it was postponed for 2 or 3 weeks... & it was Damn COLD... The only good thing about running this late in the year at Maple Grove is you have a great chance of seeing a new record in one of the Pro classes...

In the years that they moved the race to October (01, 03, and 04) Two of the three years it was freezing and the other it was in the 60's. There is no need for a night session if the daytime high is in the 60's, which is likely for that part of the country this time of the year.

My guess would be there is no night session because since this is a make-up date, they don't want to have the pros sit around all day with dry weather than have the rain clouds roll in by early evening.
