Jim Head is an adrenaline junkie? .... I've always understood him to say he liked the technical challenge (not being a driver).

My wife is an adrenaline junkie and I love my crew chief role, I think Jim likes the crew chief side much more than driving.

I laughed at the $650k to $1million ... just based on what we end up spending on "operating" expenses to run 16 fast bracket sportsman races a year (we only went through 24 pistons the whole year). You could have a pretty decent TAD/TAFC schedule on that budget .... but blown nitro, not close.

That is the number he thru out, I have done work with him in the past. That is out of HIS pocket he does have some smaller sponsors. Yes he does enjoy innovation however he also flys his own planes some of which are acrobatic planes. He might be mellower now he is older.

Am I the only one that noticed the scaled back (part time) schedule for the Head team? They competed at all 24 events last year.

I understand why they would choose to do so, especially without a primary sponsor.

Last year was the first time Jim has run the full tour in awhile.

The list of drivers who have a great racing resume is long and the only reason they do not have a ride is because they cannot bring a sponsor and their money to the game.
