if Jay bought this he would have a chance.....

Quote of the clip - "you don't want to put a $300 helmet on a 10 cent head..."

I hope Jay may a few runs before the 160 mph pass. I'd hate to think he ran than number right out of the box.

Anything's possible, but that footage looked pieced together, meaning maybe he did a few test squirts first. Not that he couldn't go 160, it's more about learning the procedures. Either way, good show and I'm looking forward to more episodes.

erica should ask jay to be on more of his shows.....probably more exposure on last nite's piece than many nhra telecasts combined,
and next year nhra goes to 'next package up' channel with even fewer viewers

I tweeted Frank Hawley this morning and asked if Jay made a few slower passes before the televised one. Frank said "Jay was a good driver so not many."

It wasn't his first day at the Strip. Anybody besides me remember Jay driving Mark Pawuk's Pro Stock car a while back?

AR

being the show was on CNBC, Erica and drag racing just had some good TV time in front of business folk....sponsors hopefully

Now lets see a Nitro owner go on Shark Tank and pitch their team to Mark Cuban et al......

Part of what makes any show good is first having a host who is knowledgeable about what they are talking about.

I also believe finding a host who is a bit of a character really helps and Jay Leno fits perfectly for both of these qualities.
