Legit e mail from Alan?

My buddy Cliff up in Oregon got an e mail from announcer@nhra.com. Had a password regarding JFR - John Force Racing. I know this is Alan's e mail, so am wondering if this is some kind of scam.

The account is hacked. I got a zip file from announcer@nhra.com today. I burned it. It wasn't from Alan.

I got one also with a zip attachment Jack Beckman. I checked my security and it is a Trojan. Delete immediately, do not open. It could corrupt your computer.

YES - His Announcer email was HACKED. Don't OPEN EMAILS REPLYING....

I got hacked. I put email hackers on the same scale as robo-callers. They should be used for medical or nuclear experiments.
