I seriously doubt that DPM has the $$$$ like DSR has. If DSR can afford AJ they can definitely get Lee Beard or anyone as far as that goes. I don't think that DSR have a price limit when it comes to First Rate Crew Chiefs. Come on people-Tony Shoe is a 5 Time POWERade TF Champion. DSR will get only the BEST!!!!

Would Lee Beard even consider another job from DSR? If I remember correctly, Lee was relieved of his duties as Whit Bazemore's crew chief for lack of performance. Who knows.... Don and Lee could be best friends for all I know!

My question is why would Lee leave DPM! In case you haven't noticed, his team is in second place with equipment, team members and excellent driver in place. DSR and Lucas have a lot of unknowns going into 2009.

I doubt Beard will leave DPM,he seems happy. I remember him saying when he was relieved from his duties from DSR he made the comment saying im finally out of there. AS for Lucas i think that they would give Walsh more of a chance unless he moves to JR Todd which we know they match right up and Beard goes to Morgan,i dunno?

My money says Lee stays at DPM. They have a good thing going there.

Some are, some are on a handshake. Just like the drivers, varies with the deal.

As soon as the Alan Johnson deal was announced, me and looked at each other and agreed that Don would/should go after Beard. Not a surprise, but who knows if it would happen.

Honestly though, with as many crew chief changes as Lucas has had, I wouldn't go over there even if I was AJ. I know they are as competitive as everyone else, and want to win, and all that...but they aren't true to anyone - just want results, now!

I think DSR has something going with Lanny Miglizzi (sp?). A guy telling you every spot of the track in each lane before every run can't be bad.

beyond a shadow of a doubt he is.....and they do have a good thing going.
but what if a new offer was double?....and better perks?
