This post just emphasizes the dramatic differance between fan and racer. The fan unless he is an absolute motorhead and perhaps aspiring racer the average fan wants a show and excitement and they might find some classes boring, yet to the racer now the racers wants to win and race and beat the other guy and go as quick and fast as he can and said racers probably thinks whatever class he is in is the greatest class ever.

I was one of the guys that questioned whether he shut off because of a real problem with the motor or because of the condition of the track. I wasn't there...I didn't hear the motor running poorly and I apologize for making that incorrect inference.

Hope you read yours too Allen! Understand me, I loved Pro Stock till about 10 years ago. They were the best in the early 70's(yes I was there). I say Run stock bodied Challengers, Mustangs & Camaros and make them "stock" again. Stock wheelbase, Limit engine size to 300CI and weight to 2500lbs.

Thriller's bus, HAH, just TRY and get Thriller out from behind the wheel, ESPECIALLY since his Saints won. Have his feet EVEN touched ground yet?
Airboat ride, I'd do that, never been on one........ but I wouldn't be countin on me to run the traps for food, don't think I've had the needed training for that and that would leave A LOT of people hungry, and that wouldn't be a good thing @ Pat's race.

I could live with most of that, though I'd say 350 size engines with FI. But as long as we're living in the past, can we get the funny car bodies to resemble REAL cars again too?

Shhh Tom. Actually it is a 76 Pinto. I heard from a really totally reliable source Unk is training in the middle of the night for his new seat in his very own Bob "I Got Da Funk" Unkefer's Traveling Jet Car Show and Extravaganza.
He plans on entering it in S/S at a few events to get some seat time.
