Have any MATERS out there ever had kidney stone surgery, where they make the incision in the back. I have had several bouts with these, but have never had it done this way. I know the reasoning behind it (stones are very large), I was just wondering what I have in store for me (other than, alot of pain). I have to have both kidneys done, two weeks apart. I have to walk my daughter down the aisle june 2nd, cutting it kind of close. Surgeries are may 1st, and may 15th. Any info. would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Mike.

My wife suffered through some last spring. I'd never seen her in that kind of pain before, and it was pretty unsettling.

After one false start, they were finally removed on a second try using the conventional methods, so I can't say much about what they're proposing for you.

Good luck Michael. Hope things go smoothly for you.

Thanks David. Yeh, most of the women I have spoke to, say the stones hurt worse than having a kid, especially if they block the plumbing.
