I finally had some time to watch this video. It was very good, and I'm glad I watched it. I am relieved to see that he is pretty much the same old Force, roughly a year after his accident. He's not "shot out of a cannon" here like he always used to be, but I imagine he is a bit more subdued due to having to cut back on the coffee and the Monster Energy drinks due to Doctor's orders.

At the beginning of the video I thought I heard him mention 2 times a guy named Henry. Anyone know who Henry is?

I wonder if Brittany is going to hang it up soon to have a family. If so, will we still see the dragster out there, but with a different driver?

When asked kind of what was currently going on at JFR he said several things one of which was that we (JFR) have the podcast now. Anyone know anything about this ?

Good thing I have listened to this man closely over the years ... it's the JFR accent...lol!
He's saying Hendrick - you know THAT guy?
;)

Good interview. If you didn't know Force was seriously injured a year ago, you wouldn't know it. There's the occasional stumble but I'd say he's still got that same John Force sass he's always had. Hands down one of the toughest, if not THE toughest, and most dedicated racer the world of drag racing has ever known.

I don't believe he'll drive again but he's got 50 years of memories to draw on and the joy of watching the team he built compete and win. And that's worth everything.

Speaking from experience I suffered a anoxic brain injury 7 years ago in a waverunner/drowning accident. While no two brain injuries are the same I've been around enough people with TBI/Anoxic brain injuries to confidently say you are never the same. On the outside sure you can present well, but it's the balance, reflexes, ability to process things like you use to (among dozens of other things) that more often than not are never fully normal (baseline) ever again. I'm confident that there's no neurosurgeon/neurologist that ever recommend he get back in the car. His age only complicates it even more. I was 54 when mine happened. It took at least 12 months of physical/cognitive and occupational therapy to get some things back. He mentioned being put in a coma, it's to stop your brain from basically burning itself up because it's suffered so much damage. Many people don't fully come back from that. Your family sits there day after day wondering if you're even going to recognize them, ever be able to talk normally, use your extremities. It's hell. He's made it through hell, to get back in the car would be the cruelest thing he could do to himself and more importantly his family. I would guarantee you his neuropsychological evaluation tests are far from normal. Those are the SAT type tests where they're able to probe into the function of the many different parts of the brain. Damn 7 years later I still go to a neuropsychologist every week trying to piece my life back together.

He's done so much for the sport, he can continue to do it as a owner without going out in a car as he made jokes about.
