I became a Christian in 1977 & took some time off from drag racing. When I came back, I went to OCIR and John Abbott was there, I think with the Jet X car. Set a track record of 5.80 & I was impressed with that pass. I remember John for winning the Nationals. Not too many people can say that. RIP Brother.

Great Insider tribute to Johnny Abbott, I never new how much his family is still involved in racing! Also, Phil Burgess touches on the passing of Billy "the Kid" Scott, a teenage sensation from the sixties that I remember reading about as a kid. RIP Billy
