JFR fire pictures from today

I took these pictures this morning. Everything immediately around the shop is nice and green; less than a block away by the freeway, it's charred; however, the hotel is still there. In the other direction, even though you can't see it in picture number 6, there is black stuff; fortunately, the houses are all still there.

Did you happen to go by the Honda dealership on the corner of La Palma & Yorba Linda Blvd./Weir Canyon? I "heard" it was gone. I know it was close, just wasn't sure how true the rumor was.

Just glad it's over, for now.

Bill, I was told that some trees burned at the Honda dealer but that was it.

From what I could tell, everything was still mostly intact around there; the fire was mostly contained to the brush.

The shot of the sign that you can see from the 91 freeway made me smile. Back when I was working for a company that was or maybe still is a sponsor of JFR, John told me how pissed he was that the city wouldn't let him put his name on that sign. He said, "And I own the property!"
