Scoop reported this on NHRA.com. A friend did this at Indy this year in the same car with Stephan diving. $395 for three laps around IMS at 180 mph! Thinking I might have to do this before the 500 next year - available on Monday and Tuesday before the race -

Are you kidding me??
Besides the $395, how do I sign up??
Why is the line not longer than the list of who's done Paris??
Where do I find details on the ride along program Jim??
How freakin cool would that be?? Around Indy... Come on!!
Seriously??

Jim- Please tell me what the catch is...
It would be so cool if Warren Wallace was the shoe on my day... :D

It's pretty fun to drive one yourself too. You just don't get to go quite as fast. I took 6 laps at Texas Motor Speedway in an INDY car. It was a blast. My fastest lap was 156.233. I'd love to do it again, at INDY this time.

Ray - There is no catch. I've got the team's card on my desk - I'll PM you.
And . . . Barry is correct. There is another option to do the ride AND drive a detuned open wheel car for four laps (at Indy) for $795. Haven't sent for details yet, but I'm sure some terms and conditions apply (like signing that waiver giving up all rights if you wreck the car or kill yourself!).

COOL!! :D And I run that risk everyday without signing a silly piece of paper... :D Who knew?? ;) And why was I not informed??

I know, we only wake you for blah, blah,

Thanks Jim

My bar tab is more than either of those thrill rides... Joke,
I drink at home alone, and very rarely...
I'm really finding this very hard to believe, but I know you
would never mess with me Jim... Right?? LOL
