Is there a potential new class that could last? (4 Viewers)

Instead of "going forward" and inventing new classes, bring back Fuel Altereds as a full professional eliminator, no limit on Nitro %, bet the fans stay in their seats after T/F and F/C!
Funny thing is Fuel Altered was never a full professional class, it was apart of Competition Elim or Super Elim until 73.

Interesting..... bringing back actual 1320 ft racing without moving the 1000 ft cones..... 🤔

Aha! I think you might have just solved two controversial things - bring back 1320, leave the cones at 1k......first to 1k feet wins the race, and who wins the last 320 gets countdown points, making it the countdown and not the current joke it is.

It may be 1/8 mile, but the IHRA actually features AA/FA as its own category, I believe that's the first time ever for those cars.

NHRA did announce an electric class a few years ago, but it seems to have vanished as soon as it appeared.

I note Orlando's banning of all electric vehicles.

Just throwing it out there.

A/fuel Dragster as a class by itself, but less rules.

Unrestricted nitro % (to start) get rid of the pounds per cubic inch, and run all the management you want. Run them 1/4 mile. They would need to be run with the pro sessions, PSB, PS, A/F, FC, TF as an example.

By reading the comments here and on social media, 1/4 mile nitro racing with high 4 second runs right at the cusp of 300 seems to be what they want. If they get too far under 5.00 or 300 mph pull the % back.

The stands should be overflowing with people for that class with all the comments I see on track length and performance.

Yes there are negatives to that and I'm sure everyone will be happy to point them out. First of all, it would diminish the TAD participation IMO.
