Volvo S90. 2.0 4 cylinder, not a powerhouse but peppy enough with no turbo lag at low rpm, which was the reason for the supercharger. Turbo technology has now improved to the point where low rpm lag is barely noticeable so no need for the extra complexity.

It'll be interesting to see how a big show Charger funny car body minus the big spoilers and spill plates does in A/Fuel. Lot's of stuff going on in the aerodynamics compared to TA/FC bodies.

Another interesting combination I saw recently was Jade Cook’s beautiful Nemesis funny car with a pro charger setup. So far she’s running the chaos events and it will be interesting to see how it works out

I've really enjoyed the talk on this thread... of course it's been interesting to me because we're wound right in the middle of it. We really were not expecting to be hit on % however we weren't terribly surprised. What was, however, complete BS was the fact that they implemented the rule in the late afternoon on Thursday... less than 24 hours before Q1 of the race. That alone put a fire under us and we were able to get a win. We have some big decisions to make here in the coming weeks but I can tell you this... we took the timing of that last rule change very personally. It's going to be an interesting rest of the year.

Thanks for the thought. My days of watching at the track are over. The only time (and often) that I pack a bag now is to go to mesquite (90 minutes away). slots are my fun now . Also NHRATV Live.
