Hi 86°|Lo 67° I predict the PRO's will finish on Tuesday

Ok.....just ran through some models and the rain totals are coming down.

My unofficial prediction as of now is as follows:

Friday: Shouldn't be an issue
Saturday: Will probably get most if not all sessions in
Sunday: Will lose most if not all of this day
Monday: I think we'll get it in but it may be a later start

For those wondering, I'm just a weather hobbyist but have been so for many years. I don't claim to be a meteorologist. :)

Since I plan to be in attendance on Saturday, I support this forecast. It is what I think too. Sundays a wash.

DREW Thank you for your commentrary!!! I agree with your weather report 100%!!! Let's all keep in mind Metorlogists are about as predictable as the US Government!!!!:confused::eek:

Weather update:

Looks like we'll get a light band through here today (Friday around noon) and then if all stays as is the rest of the day may be ok.

Saturday and Sunday now both look pretty poor.

Models are now showing that the center of the storm will still be in Illinois on late Sunday and possibly into Monday.

With that being said the bulk of the moisture being north and east of the center will get caught in a zonal flow running West to East taking it right over Indy for much of the period.

That does not bode well for the weekend.

That being said there is still a very wide discrepancy in rain fall totals with one model showing between 1-3 inches over the weekend and another showing 5-7 inches.

This is my sisters first US Nationals, and first race in America (my first US Nats since 07) I'm going to remain positive that she gets to see some good fuel and top alcohol racing - she came out to America just for this race all the way from Australia, so for it to be completely ruined, that would be depressing. Trying hard to keep positive :)

Paul will you be attending?

Mike.

I hope yall have a great time Michael!!!!! :)

You say it's raining yet drag race central keeps spitting out results with current times. If it did rain it must have been a little sprinkle then gone. I have noticed that they're running a 2nd Alcohol session today that was unplanned. The schedule is very fluid at the moment it seems.
