Probably the closest thing in modern times will be the California Hot Rod Reunion this weekend at Famoso. There will be approaching a hundred nitro cars on the property - some for show, some for cackle, and some for GO!

Bet those Big shows were awesome, can you imagine how competitive it must have been between OCIR, Lions and Irwindale booking shows?
