How many Liscensed Top Fuel Drivers are out there?

For example this year alone we have only seen 27 drivers compete, but lets say you want to assume everyone who drove last year will drive this year you will get 44.

I can tell you for a fact since 2009 we have seen 65 compete in the NHRA. I would think it's safe to say about 30-40 drivers have an active license to run at any time

I've got a fuel license Terry. It's a special fuel license (SPF), basically a step below big show nitro.

You can add around 20 drivers in Australia who have a fuel license but same problem here, not all of them race regularly. 3 of them have raced NHRA in the last 5 years (Cowin Harris and Sainty).
